Abstract
657,847. Switching systems for stage lighting. ALLMANA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. March 9, 1949, No. 6413. Convention date, March 11, 1948. [Class 38 (iv)] To permit preselection of a number of stage or like lighting lamps for common control whilst permitting individual control of these lamps until such time as common control is required, the actuating devices of the individual lamps, e.g. dimmer operating coils 4, are connected both to a normally energized bus-bar 7 through switches 6 which provide for individual control and to one or more normally de-energized preselection bus-bars 2 through switches 1, whereby several coils may be connected in parallel in readiness for common control when a switch 5 is closed to energize to preselection bus-bar. Rectifiers 3 prevent energization of the preselection bus-bar over any of the switches 6 which may be closed. Each switch may be of the multicontact type, permitting each coil 4 to be connected to any one of several preselection bus-bars.
