[Class 80(ii)] A toothed wheel a is clutched to a hubmember f by two clutch-packs l arranged one on each side of a pair of interfitting expander-pistons h, i, slid'ably keyed or splined at j on the hub-member, and carrying the flat inner discs of the respective packs, the pistons being urged axially apart for clutch-engagement, in opposition to return tension coil-springs o, by fluidpressure applied between them through a duct f<SP>3</SP>.
