Abstract
652,989. Elastic fluid turbines. RICHARDSON, WESTGARTH & CO., Ltd., and SIGNER. J. U. Dec. 24, 1948, No. 33273. '[Class 110(iii)] In a low-pressure stage turbine, steam enters at 1a, 1b to blade sections 2a, 2b. The flows are divided at 3a, 3b, parts passing to blade sections 8a, 8b and parts passing through ducts 4a, 4b to blade' sections 6a, 6b. The exhaust spaces 7a, 7b communicate with a common duct 15, or they may have separate connections with the same condenser or with separate condensers. In an alternative form, the blade sections 2a, 2b are at the middle portion of the turbine and are supplied through a common steam duct.
