Abstract

696,557. Turbine and compressor blades. AKT.- GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. March 22, 1951 [March 24, 1950], No. 6956/51. Class 110(iii) In order to prevent torsional vibration of turbine or compressor blading, distance pins 4 are disposed approximately perpendicular to the blade chords 5 between all the blades 1 of. a blade row, the pins being fixed at one end only to a blade, the other ends abutting freely against pins fixed to the next blades as in Fig. 1 or directly against the next blades as in Fig. 2 in the vicinity of at least one edge. The pins may be shaped to offer only slight resistance to the flow of working medium, and theblades may also be connected by a normal binding or damping wire.
