Abstract

652,310. Centrifugal blowers. SCHNEIBLE, C. B. April 7, 1948, No. 9728. [Class 110(i)] A number of parallel high velocity gaseous streams are discharged from a blower through an outlet comprising a number of parallel partitions. In one embodiment, louvres 12-15 are provided at the outlet of a blower, providing discharge passages (which are preferably of Venturi shape) for a flat main stream 16 and two flat auxiliary streams 17. 18. The auxiliary streams eliminate eddy currents from the main stream and enable it to be effective over a greater distance. In a modification, the main stream is circular in section, and is surrounded by a concentric auxiliary stream.
