650,991. Stop-motions ; alarms. PRAIN & SONS, Ltd., J., and FLEMING, A. May 13. 1948, No. 13120. [Classes 120(ii) and 120(iii)] A detector device for a textile drawing frame has a feeler member 4 for each sliver 1, the member 4 being located on the delivery side of the drawing rollers 2, 3 and being pivoted to bear on the sliver 1, so that it swings downwardly on sliver failure to cause a contact arm 7 attached to the feeler member 4 to come against an electrical contact 8 and close an electric circuit which includes an alarm device. The alarm device may comprise an audible signal apparatus,9 and/or a lamp 10. The feeler member 4 also may be arranged to stop the machine.
