Abstract

650,472. Pulse modulation. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Feb. 19, 1948, No. 4959. Convention date, March 5, 1947. [Class 40 (v)] In a demodulator for a timemodulated pulse train, in which a storage circuit is supplied with voltages whose amplitude corresponds to the modulating signal amplitude, the storage circuit is connected in the input of an in-phase amplifier and energy is fed back from the output at a rate which compensates for leakage from the storage circuit in the intervals between the pulses. The condenser 38, forming the storage circuit across which a stepped signal wave is developed as described in Specification 650,471, is connected between the grid of cathode-follower stage 37 and earth. The output voltage is derived from the cathode resistance 39 and leakage from condenser 38 between the charging periods is compensated by energy fed back from the cathode to the condenser through resistance 50.
