Abstract
649,884. Switching systems. SCINTEX SOC. ANON. Oct. 6, 1948, No. 26028. Convention date, Jan. 14. [Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVII] A system for time-controlling vehicle signalling circuits comprises a contact C rotatable about its pivot X by a hand lever (not shown) and latched against a returning spring by a contact stud F on a bimetal strip B whereby the main circuit M is closed through strip B, contact C, and a flexible strip A. Simultaneously, a strip R, insulated at I, is pressed against the terminal P and completes the circuit of a heater coil T. As strip B heats, the contacts F, G engage and the contact C is released whereupon the coil T is de-energized, but the circuit M remains closed until the strip B cools and contacts F, G separate after a time dependent on the position of an adjustable eccentric H.
