[Class 138 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] The receiver, Fig. 1, into which water, expressed from the clothes in the use of a foldable wringer incorporated in a clothes washing machine, described in Specification 648,930, is delivered, has a spout 4 for delivering the water into a bucket or the like positioned at the side of the machine, in which the interior contour of the lower part of the cross-section of the spout is of sharply defined V-shape for substantially the full length of the spout, as shown at 4a, and the line of the bottom of the V in the longitudinal section of the spout, Fig. 2, is downwardly inclined towards the delivery end of the spout (about 30 degrees to the horizontal when the receiver is in the operative position). Tha V-shaped plane surface 4c, Fig. 2, of the spout is inclined a few degrees to the vertical when the receiver is in the operative position, and the angle included between the plane of the V-shaped surface 4c and the line of the bottom of the spout is substantially less than a right angle. The receiver has trunnions 1, 2, to operate in bearings on the wringer, and a cam 3 to co-operate with a surface on the machine casing to facilitate movement of the receiver to its operative or inoperative positions.
