824,804. Hoses. HOOVER Ltd. Feb. 18, 1958 [May 3, 1957], No. 14210/57. Class 99(2). An outlet hose, e.g. of flexible moulded rubber, for an appliance such as a washing machine, from which liquid is discharged under pressure, comprises a horizontal main portion 10 and an outlet end portion 12, 14 which is doubly cranked so that the outlet end 15 is parallel to, but offset from, the main portion 10. The extreme outlet end may be flared so as to reduce the velocity of the issuing liquid, and the main portion 10 may consist of two straight portions inclined to one another.
