Abstract

1,231,184. Washing machines. HOOVER Ltd. 9 May, 1968 ("15 May, 1967], No. 22522/ 67. Heading D1A. In a washing machine having a compartment for detergent through which water passes on its way to the washing tub, a removable vessel 100 is provided insertable in the compartment to form a weir 101 over which the water flows into the vessel 100 which is self draining through a syphon towards the outlet to the washing tub. A vessel 100 with a,handle 115, for use in a detergent dispenser as described in U.K. Specification No.- 1,130,201, comprises a moulded semicylindrical part 102 closed at one end by the end wall 101 and closed at the other end by a partition 110 over which is mounted part 105 with legs 106, 107 spaced from part 102 so as to form a syphon passage 111. The vessel may be filled with conditioner. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,130,201.
