Abstract
1,264,739. Washing machine detergent dispenser. CANDY S.p.A. 7 July, 1970 [9 July, 1969], No. 32928/70. Heading D1A. A programmable additive dispenser in a washing machine comprises a receptacle 11 rotatably mounted on the upright end portion of a water supply pipe 6 and comprising a flat lateral wall 10, which normally lies flush with a wall of the washing machine, and a plurality of compartments 12, 13, 14 which are selectively supplied with water, to wash out treatment agent, by an inlet 27 which is pivotable on the extreme end of the pipe 6 by a link 30 controlled by a timer cam 31. Treatment agent escapes to a conduit 23 leading to the washing machine tub by slots 20 and 21 and a hole 22 respectively from the compartments 12, 13 and 14.
