Abstract

646,538. Brush-holders for dynamo-electric machines. DUMORE CO. May 1, 1948, No. 11994. [Class 35] A brush-holder to be fitted in an aperture provided in the housing of a D.E.M. comprises an insulated bush 23 and an inner concentric metallic sleeve 24 within which a brush 28 slides under the pressure of a spring 31. The bush 23 has a flange 22 which engages and seats against a shoulder 19 provided in the said aperture. The brush-holder is held in position by a plug 36 screwed in the aperture. Connection to the field circuit may be done by attaching a conductor to grooves 41 provided in the lower portion of the sleeve 24.
