Abstract

645,599. Two-part couplings; fusible cutouts. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd. Nov. 4, 1948, No. 28725. [Class 38 (i)] A fuse plug comprises a hollow insulating body 1 having projecting pins 4 provided with pairs of resilient integral arms 5, 6 within the body and a fuse-carrying member 9 supported between the arms with the fuse element 12 bridging the pins. The arms 5, 6 have projec. tions 7 which engage the member 9 in apertures 11 through which the ends of the element 12 are inserted so as to contact the arms 5, 6. The body 1 may be formed of yieldable or resilient material having rectangular apertures 3 for the pins 4 which are secured in position by portions of the body flowing on to shoulders 4a on the pins after their insertion.
