Abstract
644,951. Fuel injectors. SMITSVONK, N. V. June 14, 1948, No. 16011. Convention date, July 23, 1947. [Classes 7(iii) and 7 (iv)] A combined fuel injector and sparking plug has electrodes 10, 11 separated by insulating or semi-conductive material 9 across the face of which the sparks creep. The electrode 10 is mounted on the injector body 1 and the electrode 11 is connected tc a conductor 12 and held in position in the block 9 by a screwed cap 17 and rings 14-16 of which 14 is an insulator and 15, 16 compensate for the difference in the expansion of the parts. In a modification both electrodes are mounted in the block 9. Specification 483,383 is referred to.
