Abstract

643,928. Electrodeposition of tin. TRIGGS, W. W. (Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation). May 12, 1948, No. 12994. [Class 41] An electrolyte for the electrodeposition of tin comprises an acid solution of tin, an addition agent consisting of monobutyl phenylphenol sodium monosulphonate or diphenyl-p-phenylene-diamine or both, and a sulphone of phenol, cresol, resorcinol or naphthol. The acid of the tin solution may consist of any of the mono-, di- or poly-sulphonic acids of benzene, phenol or cresol, the related chloro- or nitro-sulphonic acids, sulphuric acid or fluosilicic acid. Specification 555,929 is referred to.
