642,313. Plastering-apparatus. FOX, J. T. March 28, 1947, No. 8525. Convention date, April 1, 1946. [Class 20(ii)] [Also in Group XXIII] An apparatus for plastering walls and other structures comprises a container 1 for the plaster, a cover 8, hinged or otherwise, clamped thereto in an airtight manner and provided with a compressed air inlet 19; a central tube 4 passing through the top of the cover, with its lower end open and above the container's base, a plate or float loosely fitting round the tube and slidably touching the inner periphery of the container, and a hollow trowel with a slotted levelling face 22 attached to the upper end of the central tube by a flexible tube 16. The plate or float is pressed downwards by compressed air and the plaster thereby forced through the tubes 4, 16 and out through the slots in the trowel face 22. The pressure, which is observed by a gauge 20, is adjusted for the flow of plaster required, and this is controlled by a valve 14 and a thumb lever 25 on the trowel which operates a cone valve inside the handle 18 of the trowel.
