[Also in Group VI] A device for making foam by aerating a saponin &c. solution comprises a wooden plate 1 having its pores at 45 degrees to its faces 1a, 1b, an expansible rubber envelope 2 enclosing one face 1b and secured to the periphery 1c of the plate, and means for supplying air to the envelope consisting of a bulb and tube 4. A rubber suction cup 7 is provided to attach the device to, for example, the bottom of a liquid container provided at the top with an outlet pipe and nozzle. A slotted metal cover 8 may be provided.
