Abstract

642,296. Spring shackles. DEANE, O. F. Sept. 20, 1948, No. 24560. [Class 108(iii)] A shackle for mounting the springs on perambulators and the like comprises a plate 1 having a pair of lugs 4-4, 5-5 at each end spaced apart for pivotally mounting on a chassis member or spring 11, 12, the plate 1 being so arranged that ample relative movement between the members 11, 12 may occur. The plate 1 preferably has end portions 2, 3 which are substantially parallel and which are inclined to the centre portion 1 as shown. The rivets 7 extending through the lugs also pass through tubular bearing members (not shown) and the curled over end of the connecting members 9 have lubricating holes 10. Specification 287,279, [Class 108(ii)], is referred to.
