Abstract

642,225. Wall and ceiling linings. BEAN & CO., Ltd., J. H., and KNOTHE, H. June 28, 1948, No. 17325. [Class 20(iv)] The joints between the edges of wall or ceiling lining boards are concealed by a cover strip 1 which is secured at intervals to the boards 8 by bolts 4, each passing between the boards to be fastened by a square washer 2 and nut 6. The corners 3 of the washer may be turned down to embed in the boards when the nut is tightened. The invention is characterised in that a helical spring 7 is provided on each bolt to hold the washer away from the strip to allow the easy insertion therebetween of the boards during assembly.
