Abstract
523.921. Walls. PLIBRICO JOINTLESS FIREBRICK CO. Jan. 17, 1939, No. 1631. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1938. [Class 20 (iv)] [Also in Group XII] Wall anchors adapted particularly for securing and supporting linings of furnace walls comprise an anchor member 13, Figs. 1 and 3, having a plate 15 with spaced arms 26 and flanges 27 adapted to engage with the wall and a tapered stud 17 with a flange 19 adapted to engage loosely with a tapered socket member 21, Fig. 2, provided on a shaft member 20 for supporting the lining. Fig. 5 shows the anchor member 13 and shelf member 20 so arranged for securing the lining L to the wall W. A bolt 30 with a head 31 engaging between the flanges 27 passes to the outside of the wall where it is secured by a nut. Fig. 7 shows the application of the anchoring means to a wall having a lining on each side. Two anchor members 13 are arranged in the wall with their arms 26 and flanges 27 engaging with one another. In a modification, a bolt may be arranged to co-operate with the flanges of each anchor member. Specification 382,270, [Group XII], is referred to.
