Abstract
640,801. Seats. KNIGHT, P. W. Aug. 28, 1948. No. 22734. [Class 52 (ii)] A chair is provided with arm rests which may be swung into an inoperative position. As shown, the arm rest frames A are hinged at C by their lower members B to the members D of the chair frame at or about the level of the seat and are held in their operative positions by spring links E connected to a fixed support F on the chair frame. When swung into their inoperative position along the chair frame sides they are held in position as the spring links E pass over the dead centres.
