Abstract

604,135. Chairs. LEA BRIDGE INDUSTRIES, Ltd., INGRAM, G., and DOWSETT, E. W. March 27, 1946, No. 4942/45. [Classes 52(i), 52(ii) and 52(iii)] The fender 13 at the front of a chair forms the front of a drawer 15, the lid of which forms a foot-rest when drawn out, and is upholstered and supported by springs 17 within the drawer so that it rises level with the seat 10 when the drawer is pulled out and may be depressed into the drawer for closing it. The lid is removable for access to the drawer. Pins at each side of the drawer pass through longitudinal slots in a sliding double channel rail 18 and carry rollers engaging the upper channel. The lower channel runs on rollers with pins passing through a longitudinal slot in the lower channel and fixed to the chair frame 14. Specification 591,233 is referred to.
