[Class 52 (iv)] A chair has central longitudinally extending plates of elastic material resiliently connected at their longitudinal edges to the seat and back frames respectively and free to oscillate in the direction of their length. The plate h in the seat back is preferably spaced in front of the back frame for the whole of its length or its lower end may be so spaced and its upper end supported in the plane of the frame.
