640,434. Combination knickers and suspenders. PRESTIGE, Ltd. May 25, 1948, No. 14133. [Class 141] A pair of pantees, knickers or the like 10 shaped to fit but not to mould the figure of a wearer and which are made of light woven or knitted fabric extensible in both directions to an appreciable though limited extent, are adapted for supporting stockings by the provision of a reinforcing band 16 which is secured to the garment and extends from a point A upwardly round the hip, across the back, and downwardly to a point B, and another reinforcing band 17 which extends from a point D: in a smooth curve across the front to a corresponding point on the other leg portion. The bands 16, 17 are sewn to the inside of the fabric and together at points E, F. An adjustable suspender strap 20 carrying a suspender 24 is joined by a hook or by a button and button hole to the ends of each band 16, 17.
