Abstract
Articles are produced from rubber latex by subjecting it to a biological treatment for the partial degradation of the protective colloids, adding preferably 2-4 per cent of zinc oxide and then bringing the treated mixture into or on to a mould and subjecting to heat treatment. Degradation of the colloids may be effected by means of a pancreatic extract or by trypsin. Vulcanizing agents may be added to the mixture before moulding. Specification 391,511 is referred to.
