639,852. Controlling distribution of liquids. ALDEN, R. May 7, 1947, No. 12332. Convention date, May 8, 1946. [Class 21] [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXIX] A liquid distributing device comprises a body 10, Fig. 2, with an inlet 11 and several outlets 12, 13, 14 to which liquid is directed by a vertical multisided baffle 26 located centrally between the inlet and the outlets. The inlet has a coupling 15 for connection to a supply hose. The baffle 26 is substantially diamond shaped with concave sides. It has a stem 27, Fig. 3, and is rotatable by a cross pin 31. The liquid pressure on the baffle is balanced and the baffle remains in any position of adjustment. The inlet port 22 and the three outlet ports 23, 24, 25 may be diamond-shaped to provide better regulation. The baffle may be removed through an opening 29 closed by a plug 30. In a modification, no provision is made for rotating the baffle, the transverse axes of which are more or less equal. Fig. 5 shows a further modification having a baffle 34 of T-section which can be adjusted vertically and rotationally by a threaded part 35 bearing a lock nut 39.
