Abstract
670,132. Valves. STORRIE, S. Dec. 27, 1950 [Sept. 30, 1949], No. 25121/49. Class 135.. A valve housing for a hot and cold water supply fitting having hot and cold taps and a four-way branch member with two branches connected to the taps and two to outlets, in which the junction of the branches is separated into four passages by a central cruciform partition with webs 17, 18 extending from a central portion 19 into each branch, to form two passages in each branch. The branches 10 are connected to the taps and the webs 17 are bifurcated at 20 to provide seats 11 for two pairs of connected valves 22, operated by handles 23 so that hot and/or cold water can pass either to a bath outlet 16 or a shower outlet 15 having a mixing chamber 24 into which the cold water flows via a nozzle 27 controlled by a rotatable ported disc 29. The two pairs of valves may be interconnected for joint operation by an external crossbar. Specification 654,527 is referred to.
