Abstract

637,828. Electric stoves. KOTIK, J. Oct. 29, 1947, No. 28878. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1946. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric stove comprises a block of fire bricks 1 surrounded at the top and sides by an insulating layer 4 disposed in a closed casing 5 from which it is spaced, heating elements 8 being located in horizontal ducts 7 in the block 1. Vertical air channels 9 connect the ducts 7 in groups, and open top and bottom into an air space 6 between the block 1 and the casing 5. A manually operated slide 12 controls an opening 11 linking a space 10 with the air space 6 between the block 1 and casing 5. The ducts 7 are corrugated transversely to increase the surface area of the elements 8 free to the air which circulates inside the stove.
