Abstract
636,797. Changing signs. G. H. PATENTS, Ltd., and KEIGHTLEY, T. June 1, 1948, No. 14781. [Class 3(1)] In a roller blind indicator of the type having two or more pairs of blind carrying: rollers 14 aligned on axial driving shafts 6 and with internal clutch means 16 for connecting the rollers to the shafts, the mechanism 22 for selecting a given pair of rollers is provided with a locking device 27 to hold it in the required position. The rollers are arranged and are provided with internal clutch means as described in Specification 636,784. The clutch means are connected to the selected rollers by moving the slidably-arranged axial driving shafts 6 through forks on a rock shaft 18. The rock shaft is connected by linkage 19, 20 to a lever of the selecting mechanism 22 and also through a lever 26 to a latch lever 25, Fig. 2, of the locking device 27. The lever 25 has a number of notches 29 one of which is urged into engagement with a pin 28 by a spring 30 to hold the selector mechanism in the desired position. In a modification, a pivoted notched disc or quadrant, which is connected by a link to the lever 26, co-operates with a spring- loaded plunger.
