Abstract

634,623. Hasp locks. CHENEY & SON, Ltd., C. W., and CHENEY, C. W. March 17, 1948, No. 7925. [Class 44] In a modification of the lock claimed in Specification 575,304, the disc type ward plates are replaced by a gated ward member secured on the bolt at rightangles thereto and contained in the bolt operating knob. The ward member consists of a pressing 22 riveted to the bolt plate 3 and provided with slots 21 through which parts of the key bit pass to cooperate with projections 20 on the locking tumbler 4. The ward member is riveted to the bolt plate in a position adjacent the key hole 8 formed in a plate 7 revolubly carried in the knob 5. Specification 622,521 is referred to in Provisional Specification.
