634,254. Toothed gearing. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE GENERALE DE MECANIQUE APPLIQUEE (S. I. G. M. A.). Nov. 4, 1947, No. 29410. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1946. [Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] The axis of one pinion 3 may be adjusted relatively to the axis of the second pinion 2 by rotation of an eccentric portion 10<2> of the spindle 101, to secure tighter fitting at the meshing point of the gears. The position of the spindle 101 is fixed and then locked by means of a key-plate 16 with a toothed inner edge 22, the teeth engaging a toothed pinion 20 on an extension of the spindle 10<1>. To lock the key in position, a metal piece 23 fits against the portion 20 and lugs 25 are folded over on to the other side of the key 16. More than two gears may be used in the pump.
