Abstract

633,847. Inductances. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and COE, K. G. Dec. 20, 1946, No. 37551. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI]. A protective casing for electrical equipment such as inductive loading coils comprises a hollow case built up of two co-operating channelshaped portions 1 made of asbestos cement. Discs 4 having apertures for the passage of armoured cables close the ends of the housing. A metal equipment container 2 is provided with nipples 9 through which the leads from the equipment project for connection to cable conductors, the joints being protected by lead sleeves 10. The two portions of the casing are held by retaining bands 3, and the casing is filled with a hard setting compound.
