Abstract

799,513. Inductors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Oct. 5, 1956 [Oct. 5, 1955], No. 28331/55. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVI] In a coil loaded, lead sheathed, multiconductor telecommunication cable, loading coils are arranged in stacks 10, 11, each surrounded by an insulating tube and encased in a lead casing 1 sealed by wiped joints 6, 7. The coils are of. unicoil construction, i.e. are individually sealed in metal cannisters. Each insulating tube is formed from two semi-cylindrical portions which are clamped about their stack of coils so as to trap leads from the coils and so maintain the coils orientated in positions which minimize crosstalk.
