Abstract

633,808. Snap-action switches. CRAIG & DERRICOTT, Ltd., and DERRICOTT, E. L. Dec. 15, 1947, No. 32945. [Class 38 (v)] In a rotary switch such as that described in Specification 594,589, each actuating cam has two axially separated profiles, each of which co-operates with a roller associated with a moving contact member. Each cam 12 has an upper and lower profile 17, 18 separated by a flange 19, and each profile or cam surface has one or more arcuate recesses 20 into which the roller 15 or 16 may be urged by springs 21 which bias the moving contact members 13 towards the fixed contacts 14. The contacts 13, 14 are normally held open, but are closed when the shaft is turned to a position in which the roller or rollers may move into a recess or recesses.
