633,783. Feeding bottles. ALLEN, A. M., and EVERA, M. L. VAN. July 30, 1947, No. 20544. Convention date March 25, 1946. [Class 125 (i)] An infant's feeding unit intended for single use is made from a non - toxic pliable sheet material such as a rubber hydrochloride, and comprises a containei 10, Fig. 1, which has an open end 11, closed edges 12, 13 and a closed wavy edge including a nipple portion 14, with one or more openings 19, between curved shoulder portions 15. The unit is formed either by folding a sheet of material along the edges 12 and heat or lap sealing, or cementing, the edges 13, 14 and 15, or from tubular material folded flat and the edges 14 and 15 sealed in a similar manner. When the liquid has been placed in the container 10 the end 11 is folded lengthwise and the fold is sealed with a U-shape clamp. In a modification, the nipple portion is adjacent one corner of the container and a tail portion is provided for closing the filling opening by tying a knot or by folding and clamping. In another modification, the container 10 is rectangular in shape and one corner containing perforations acts as a nipple and the opposite corner is left unsealed.
