Abstract

633,452. Reservoir pens. FEIGENBAUM, J. Sept. 10, 1947, No. 24860. [Class 146 (iii)] A reservoir pen comprises two ballpoint units 3, 4 and 8, 9 carried in casings 2, 6 which can be attached to one another as shown with the ballpoint 8 enclosed or the casing 6 can be reversed and attached to the casing 2 so that the ball-point 8 is exposed for use. Both pen units are externally threaded at 5, and the unit 3, 4 is screwed directly into the part 1 of the casing 2, whereas the unit 8, 9 is screwed into a plug 7 which is screwed into the casing 6. In the position shown, the casings are joined by screwing the plug 7 into the end of the casing 2, but when the point 8 is to be used, the parts 2, 6 are disconnected and a threaded end 11 on the casing 6 screwed into the end of the casing 2. According to the Provisional Specification, the parts of the casings into which the inner ends of the reservoirs extend are vented to atmosphere and a fine air vent is made in the reservoir.
