632,772. Bearings. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd., WOODFIELD, T. H., and MORTON, C. J. Aug. 1, 1946, No. 2751/49. Divided out of 632,711 and addition to 625,266. [Class 12 (i)] In the mounting for a sleeve bearing described in Specification 625,266, the resilient packing means adapted to exert spring- pressure axially on the sleeve member is formed separately from the capmember as shown in Fig. 1, Specification 632,711. A sleeve member 11 carrying the end of a shaft 6 is supported by the resilient member within a housing 8 so that the resilient fingers 2 grip around the outer periphery-of the sleeve member and the axially acting fingers 4 bear against one end of the member. The sleeve 11 has an annular groove 12 in which is pressed an oil return cup washer-member 13 carrying an annular packing member 14 for the storage of lubricant.
