632,509. Toy books ; pictures ; greeting cards. BARBOR, C. A. Feb. 7, 1947, No. 3678. [Classes 11, 16-and 146 (ii)] [Also in Group XVIII] A display device comprises a folder on which is mounted a model adapted to be moved, e.g. erected, when the folder is opened out, by means of a flexible connection, such as a cord between the model and one of the parts of the folder, or between two parts of the model, the cord &c. constituting a feature of the model. Fig. 1 shows a folder 1 consisting of two parts 4, 9 hinged at 8, a model 2 of a ship being hinged at 3 to the part 4 and pulled into an erect position by a cord 5 representing a mooring-rope. Fig. 2 shows a model 10 of a crane-house having a jib 11, a model 12 of a packing case being connected by a chain 5 so as to be hauled up when the folder is opened. In Fig. 4, a sail 27 connected by cords 28 to the sides of a model boat is slewed round when the model expands on opening the folder, and cords 26 tighten and steady a mast 25. In Fig. 3 (not shown) a model reindeer straddling the hinge 8 pulls a model of a man into an erect position by reins.
