[Classes 44 and 89 (ii)] A clasp e.g. for a bracelet of a watch shown in one form in Fig. 1, comprises a body 1, two pins 18, 10 on the strap ends to be attached to this body and an L-shaped rocker 9 pivoted on the body in such a manner that in the locked position the pin 18 engages the short arm of the rocker to rotate it so that the long arm closes the entrance to the slot 4 in which the pin 18 is held. The other pin 10 is permanently fixed in a slot 7 in the body and is pressed outwards by a spring 13. A tooth 15 on the long arm of the rocker is adapted to catch behind the spring loaded pin 10 and to retain the lever in the locking position. In the form of Fig. 5, both the body 19 and the rocker 24 are of channel section pivoted together at 23. The body is formed with a slot 20 permanently carrying the pin 25. The other end of the body has a recess 21 engaged by a nose 32 on the rocker, the arm 24 of which is sprung to bias the nose against the pin 28. The tension on the pin 25 is transmitted by the short arm of the rocker to hold the nose 32 in position. The hooked end of the body and the nose 32 have surfaces 34, 33 facilitating the introduction of the pin 28. A stop 31 bent up from the body part limits the angle of movement of the rocker.
