Abstract

229,954. Lee, H. A. Sept. 16, 1924. Pins for cottering.-A fastening device adapted to be passed through the eye or eyes of a button, badge, or the like to hold the same in place is made from a piece of resilient wire, one end 4 being doubled over to form a spring arm 5 which terminates in a hook 6, the beak portion 7 of which is bevelled and bears against the part 3. The bevel 7 facilitates the introduction of the eye of the button &c. into the hook retaining portion 6. Fig. 1 shows one form of button fastener and Fig. 7 shows a badge fastener in which the wire is coiled at the bend 25.
