632,111. Induction heating. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and SMITH, R. Dec. 5, 1947, No. 32163. [Class 39(iii)] A single turn split cylinder type secondary 3 is mounted so as to slide in and out of a multi-turn primary 1 to vary the magnetic coupling and loading of the H.F. generator (not shown). Connection is made from the secondary 3 to the work coil 13 by means of brushes 9 engaging with members 8 soldered to the edges ot tne gap 4 in the secondary cylinder. Position of minimum coupling is shown at 3<SP>1</SP>. Specification 615,150 is referred to.
