[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 5, 1946.] [Class 40 (ii)] In a magazine gramophone in which unplayed records are stacked on a centre-post 10, ledges 12 of a primary supporting member 44 project through slots 14 in the centre-post 10 and support all the records, while a similar secondary supporting member 22 is moved downwardly relative to the primary member 44 and outwardly against the record bores under the influence of a conical part 36 of a control-rod 30. When the teeth 16 of the secondary member 22 become located between the first and second record, downward movement of the member 22 ceases and continued downward movement of the control rod 30 urges the teeth 16 outwardly between the first and second records so that all but the lowermost.record are supported thereon, as shown in Fig. 2. At the same time, the primary supporting member 44 is pushed downwards by the pressure of spring 54 acting against the spring 60, and the ledges 12 are brought into contact with the sloping surfaces at the lower ends of the slots 14 and are withdrawn to permit the lowermost record to fall to the turntable. When the control rod 30 is returned to the position shown in Fig. 1 the ledges 12 are forced outwardly before the teeth 16 of the secondary member 22 are withdrawn. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 includes also the subject-matter of Specifications 637,856 and 637,921. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
