Abstract

360,836. Magazine gramophones. STOCKTON, J. P., 100, Worth Street, New York, U.S.A. May 9, 1930, No. 27616/31. Divided on 358,876. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (ii).] Relates to a magazine gramophone adapted to play a plurality of records in succession and comprising mechanism automatically set into operation and actuated through a predetermined cycle after the playing of a record for operating record-transferring mechanism and restoring the reproducer to initial playing position. According to the invention, the time interval between successive renderings is adapted to be controlled by means under the control of the turntable motor for interrupting the operation of the record-transferring mechanism. The turntable motor is used as a timing device to determine the length of time during which the transferring mechanism is stopped. An interval may be provided between successive reproductions or every sequence of two, three, or four reproductions. The mechanism is adapted so that a record may be played a number of times in succession with or without a time interval between reproductions. A full description of the invention, including certain features not specified above, is set forth in the abridgment of Specification 358,876.
