[Class 39(iii)] [Also in Groups XXII and XXIX] An electric heating machine for heating articles by the passage of current therethrough has work clamping electrode blocks electrically energized at the will of the operator or automatically upon the blocks engaging the work. The upper clamp is moved to contact the work by gravity, spring, oil pressure etc. and an intensifier is then operated by a pneumatic piston either automatically or when required (see Group XXII). In a modification the lower clamp may in addition rise to grip the work.
