Abstract

A composition for making inserts to be positioned in walls or other surfaces to facilitate the mounting of fittings comprises 8-10 per cent by weight of asbestos fibres, 17-20 per cent bitumen emulsion and 70-75 per cent powdered cement. Preferably clay is used as emulsifier in the bitumen emulsion and the cement is white Portland Cement, the inserts being produced by moulding or extrusion.
