Abstract

1,256,334. Fibrous plaster composition. B. RUSTAN A/S. 26 June, 1970 [2 July, 1969], No. 31042/70. Heading C3N. [Also in Division Cl] Plaster of Paris or calcium sulphate hemihydrate powder is added to glass wool and/or rockwool during carding of the wool to provide a dry composition which is subsequently wetted and cast, e.g. into boards. Polyvinyl alcohol can be added to the mixing water or to the wet mix. In an example 0.2 kg. of rockwool and 0.1 kg. of glass wool are mixed together with 0.9 kg. of plaster powder.
