Abstract

Calcium sulphate plasters for use in producing building, insulating and artistic materials are mixed with 0.01-1 per cent of the weight of the gauging-water of a mixture obtained in the refining of mineral oils by means of sulphonating-agents and comprising sulphonic acids or salts thereof and hydrocarbons which form colloidal solutions with water. This is stated to reduce the amount of water required and to improve plasticity and working properties. U.S.A. Specification 1,995,963 is referred to.
