Abstract

629,200. Mounting terminals. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. Sept. 24, 1947, No. 25943. Convention date, Sept. 24, 1946. [Class 38 (i)] A terminal 11 for mounting in an aperture in a glass envelope 10 comprises a metal alloy cup having a flared wall 12 which is turned over at 13 to provide a flange 14 which secures a flat ring 15 by its tapered lip 16 against the wall. A projection 17 may be worked from the cup bottom and provided with notches 18 which are engaged preferably by a speed nut 19 which contacts a conductive coating 20 on the envelope. The cup receives a spring clip to which a lead is attached and which comprises a disc 21 having legs 22 provided with upturned ends 23 and bends midway to engage the ring 15. The glass envelope may be beaded around the rim 13.
