Abstract

631,402. Binding-posts; bushings. SPORING, P. A., and TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO., Ltd. May 13, 1947, No. 12903. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] In a terminal such as is described in Specification 621,252, comprising a resilient bung 4 fitted in an aperture in a metal plate 2 and a wire 6 from apparatus such as a condenser 1, extending axially through the bung, the latter is provided with a tubular metal insert 5 extending wholly or partially therethrough, through which the wire passes and to which it is soldered at 7. The insert may be turned over to contact the inner and outer faces of the bung. The outer end of the insert may be formed with a flange provided integrally with a soldering tag (Fig. 2, not shown).
